About The Product:

Introducing Filecure to our list of software reviews on this site. What does this application do exactly? FileCure is primarily used to fix problematic files in your computer, such as orphaned files left from uninstalls or email attachments, or those due to registry issue problems or incorrect and invalid file extensions. You normally encounter files which cannot be opened, and the reason may just be one of these.  FileCure detects the particular type of error and gives you a list of associated applications which may resolve your problem.

FileCure comes with a monitor functionality which alerts you when new software installation changes the existing files associated with your system. It also includes a Manage tool which gives you control over the programs associated with each file type in your computer. This enables you to filter items on the file lists and choose to change a file association so the software application of your choice will handle the particular files. FileCure comes with a built in scheduler which automates and pre-programs your scans and product updates.

Done The Job.. I had my concerns Though..

    THE GOOD:

The good points about this program is that its easy to use and setup. The price is very affordable and I was happy how the program performed in terms of helping me open up files with obscure looking file extensions. They have efficient customer support too!

    THE BAD:

The only bad point was some negative talk about the product being difficult to uninstall. This was clearly evident in some of the forums I visited. But a rep from Filecure joined in on the conversation and explained how to uninstall the program.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

The bottom line is basically this.... Filecure is a program that allows PC users to manage files with unknown extensions on their systems. The software itself will enable you to scan your computer for files with unknown or uncommon extensions that do not associate with any applications installed on your computer. It worked for me and I had no problems in using it, installing it and even deleting it if I needed too. I found the interface of the program simple to use and navigate and the program runs fast. Some people where worried about Filecure being a scam... but I found that this was not the case. Its developed by a respectable company called ParetoLogic Inc. and is a Microsoft certified partner..... so you are in good hands.
My suggestion is that if its not compatible with your system, or your having problems with it.. Then simple apply for a refund early... They have a good support system in place if you need it.

    REVIEW:

So basically.. my problem was that I had some files on my computer in which I was unable to open. I was sent these files via email... Some of these files had odd looking extensions and when I would click on them, I was unable to open those files. So I need some sort of solution and that brought me to a little website called google! :)

I went online to check out a third party software program where I could get this job done. After about 20-30 minutes of reaserching via google, I came across some reviews about a piece of software called Filecure. I was intrigued to learn more about this program as it seemed to do the job I wanted it to do.. and the price tag seemed perfectly affordable to me. However, I was a little concerned about this program because there were a few people on some software forums that did not like this program. This was mainly due to the fact that they had problems getting rid of the software after they had used it. I thought it wasnt much of an issue afterwards, mainly because if the software worked.. then why would I get rid of it?

I downloaded the software, setup the program and had an easy time navigating the program and getting it to scan my computer. It was able to detect a number of different files in which I could not open... and it recommended a number of different applications to help me open these files.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

My opinion of this product is a positive one. I bought the program at a reasonable price and so far my experience with the program has been a positive one indeed. REVIEW:

I was looking for a software program that I could use to open up unknown file extensions on my pc. Over time I had built up a large amount of files in which I was unable to open because my operating system was finding it difficult to associate these files with an available program on my pc. So after a bit of searching, I discovered this program called Filecure.

After using Filecure, all I can say is that its done the dauting job of matching my files that have no extensions or associated programs attached to them and allowed me to open them and edit these files. Its compatiable with most versions of windows and all you really need is 20 mb's of free hard disk space to run the program efficiently on your pc. You'll also want to have an internet connection available as this will allow you to recieve product updates.

Installing the program is fairly straight forward really. Once I installed the program onto my pc, I found that the user interface was simple to follow. When I first decided to use the program, I went ahead and scanned my entire computer for file extensions of unidentified files on my system. You can also request the program to scan a particular file to determine its extension. I work off a vista operating system and found that Filecure ran efficiently on my system, even though I had a large amount of unidentified file extentions. These days I use the scheduler feature on the program as it allows me to automatically run the program at predefined periods. This is a pretty cool feature of the program and I use it as part of my periodic system maintenance.
