The good points about this program is that its easy to use and setup. The price is very affordable and I was happy how the program performed in terms of helping me open up files with obscure looking file extensions. They have efficient customer support too!
The only bad point was some negative talk about the product being difficult to uninstall. This was clearly evident in some of the forums I visited. But a rep from Filecure joined in on the conversation and explained how to uninstall the program.
The bottom line is basically this.... Filecure is a program that allows PC users to manage files with unknown extensions on their systems. The software itself will enable you to scan your computer for files with unknown or uncommon extensions that do not associate with any applications installed on your computer. It worked for me and I had no problems in using it, installing it and even deleting it if I needed too. I found the interface of the program simple to use and navigate and the program runs fast. Some people where worried about Filecure being a scam... but I found that this was not the case. Its developed by a respectable company called ParetoLogic Inc. and is a Microsoft certified partner..... so you are in good hands.
My suggestion is that if its not compatible with your system, or your having problems with it.. Then simple apply for a refund early... They have a good support system in place if you need it.
So basically.. my problem was that I had some files on my computer in which I was unable to open. I was sent these files via email... Some of these files had odd looking extensions and when I would click on them, I was unable to open those files. So I need some sort of solution and that brought me to a little website called google! :)
I went online to check out a third party software program where I could get this job done. After about 20-30 minutes of reaserching via google, I came across some reviews about a piece of software called Filecure. I was intrigued to learn more about this program as it seemed to do the job I wanted it to do.. and the price tag seemed perfectly affordable to me. However, I was a little concerned about this program because there were a few people on some software forums that did not like this program. This was mainly due to the fact that they had problems getting rid of the software after they had used it. I thought it wasnt much of an issue afterwards, mainly because if the software worked.. then why would I get rid of it?
I downloaded the software, setup the program and had an easy time navigating the program and getting it to scan my computer. It was able to detect a number of different files in which I could not open... and it recommended a number of different applications to help me open these files.
